SOOC Saturday

This was the last photo taken from my camera today and was pretty much the only view we saw all day. Our plan was to take the kids fishing at Lake Burrembeet. We packed Dads car and by 10am we were on the road. Realising on the way that we had no bait we decided to wait till we got there to buy some. We found the burrembeet caravan park who told us that the lake had blue algae in it and that the nearest bait shop was back in Wendoree. After finding nothing there we went into Ballarat where we were told about another place in Wendoree but again turned up nothing. Dad decided to drive out to beuford where again there was nothing. We ended up coming home where Nevaeh shadowed her Bop all night! Late night for us all tonight pigging out on KFC, lollies and chocolate eggs. I'm really enjoying this time with my Dad just one-on-one, its exactly what I need as I'm trying to figure out who I am again. The kids are also enjoying their poppy around. Don't forget to post your photo for SOOC Saturday, here's that link again..

(two)morrow

Today was Nevaehs last day of being a one year old. At 6.30am tomorrow morning this little blossem will be my two year old. Let me share with you a little about what makes this little tot -tot!

Nevaeh loves..
• puppy dogs tails
• bananas
• putting her shoes on
• copying her brother
• dancing (which is more skipping than grooving)
• cuddles
• playing in boxes and washing baskets
• brushing her teeth (or at least sucking off the toothpaste)
• ice cream
• staying up late
• weetbix & cornflakes (with a pinch of sugar)
• talking on the phone
• throwing rocks in puddles
• drawing (more so on herself than on paper)
• lip gloss
• the park (or anywhere she can run away from us)

I could go on all day but there the mains. Her latest love is of course Justin Bieber! I wish I could have got it on video but yesterday she started saying baby (bee-bee) after hearing his 'baby baby baby' song. She even tries to say Bieber which comes 'barbar'

Oh this last year has been amazing! Bring on another year (maybe just slower this time) full of giggles, chubby cheeks and little stumpy legs!!

'cause my lord Has conquered the grave!

Today we are singing 'My Redeemer Lives' by Hillsong (look it up if you haven't heard it) We don't celebrate with choc eggs, but with love, cookies, milk and a choc coin hunt. Why you ask? Because my kids are learning that they are worth more to God than all that money! He died but he came back for them..

Hope you are all having a glorious day! Thanks for clicking in : )

Easter 2011

This year I'm keen to get my kids understanding the real meaning of Easter.. Jiedyn has started an awesome relationship with his creator and really enjoyed doing the advent calendar last Christmas. He turns to God more than I do at times and so I hope to build his spiratual knowledge anyway I can.. and what better time then EASTER!!

This year I'm looking at this website for inspiration..

What about you? How do you celebrate Easter?

Why i stay at home..

• No one to answer to
• I can control my kids [well most of the time]
• I can relax
• I don't have people bitching about me

I went to do my weekly shop, ran into a few friends, and a few not-so-friends. I even tried to break up a fight/try to calm down one of the girls, which caused the cleaner lady of the shopping complex to lable me as a bad mother " Move on Melissa, those kids shouldn't be seeing this" I felt like saying "its better than standing here watching pretty much waiting for the worst to happen" and my old self would of, But I just walked on.. everywhere I go I always have people judging the way I parent.. I figure it isn't going to stop so I may as well just keep myself and my kids happy and let them bicker.. it still hurts because they have had their families to teach them right from wrong.. I had to figure things out for myself and it frusterates me!! If only they knew..

Highlights of my weekend

Friday morning I bumped into a few old friends.

Friday arvo Matt's Dad popped over for an hour.

Friday night I had my Dad come do my lawns and watch the footy with me.

Saturday morning/arvo we went to Geelong.

Jiedyn got to finally see the beach.

Saturday night we spent watching the footy in Jies room as the clouds were low and my digital set top box decided it would stop working.

Sunday morning Dad left.

The kids and I went to church.

Nevaeh went to childrens church with her big brother and got involved with what they were doing (making me the proudest Mum there)

Sunday arvo/night we went to Matt's Dads house for dinner.

Overall a wonderful weekend.

Miss me?

I have so missed blogging!! Last week my laptop decided to just blow up on me. Luckily it was the motherboard and not the hard drive which although expencive I can get repaired without losing any photo/video/music files.Today I brought myself a telstra touch tablet for a bargain and am struggling with it. I have no idea on how to upload photos on here which is going to drive me nutso so please bare with me!!

So let me catch you all up..

Kids are keeping me sane. We have been baking, packing, cleaning And going on little picnics together. Nevaeh has come out of her shell and well Jie is just a whole different boy.. still testing the bounderies.. pushing my buttons.. but, making us smile with his wakky sence of humou r, silly made up songs and caring personality.

Nevaeh now sits with Jie and I at the table, drinks from a big girl cup and walked home the other day from the library. I can't believe how much she has grown.

I've been struggling a little but am confident because I have been here before I know I can do it again!! I am feeling a little isolated, a bit lonely and feel betrade.

Matt is in Darwin.. on his way to WA with his mates (that he only just met) they have promised him a job as a farmhand or something. Which is good news for us because we're FREE to do what we like now!!

I'm nurvous, but more excited to start this new chapter in mine and the kids lives!! Wooo bring it on I say!!
