Mum & Son

Today Jiedyn and I watched movies in bed pretty much all day. I had no energy after pulling an all nighter on here last night. I learnt alot too. Blogger is more active when I'm sleeping. But I won't be doing that again any time soon. I felt like a zombie all day. It was good to just relax and spend time with my not-so-little boy. Jie is a talker.. he never stops.. I never get to watch a whole movie when he is beside me because he talks my ear off. But I wouldn't change a thing! One of the things we've loved to do together ever since he was 3 is story telling. We both lay together, pick a topic for each others story then make it up. Jie's are always about Ben 10, Power Rangers or The Ninja Turtles [[although all his fighting movies have been put away]] and mine are always about our family, his teddies or animals. I know not as imaginative as his stories about saving the universe but he still sits through them. This is another moment I hope he looks back on and shares with his kids one day! That is pretty much all from my end tonight, I'm off to read some more of my book.. night..

---> Australia Day 2011

What can I say.. I love Australia day! It's the one day of the year where you have an excuse to wear a flannelette shirt and thongs without being seen as wired :)

Today was a funny day.. we tried putting as many of these Aussie words in our sentences as we possibly could. Go on you have a go.. It's so much fun!

And lets not forget the massive fly squatter..
Happy Australia Day 2011 Everyone!

Blogging in 2011

I love blogging, its a great release, a great way to meet new people and a wonderful way to look back on lessons learned throughout life.

This year I plan 3 things..

  1. More fun and family time!
  2. Less facebook!
  3. More blogging!
I designed my own background & layout to vamp up my new blog, it wasn't easy either, it took a week just to figure out html codes etc. But the finish product was well worth it! It's great don't you think?

Looking forward to getting to know you all

Melissa
